UTD (the urban thermo dynamics) is DCQ, Ces and Mos Def. they recorded this album in 1993 and 1994, but it was never officially issued - there is a twelve inch though, called "manifest destiny" that came out featuring production by Diamond but this was the end of it...their material ended up being bootlegged (like my kung-fu as a 12 inch and even the whole album) - so this is the first official album release, material got remixed and remastered for better quality and is still a pretty good midnineties output
