Rooted in the deep study of 1960’s Organ-based R&B, THE M-TET first tackled the Meters’ 1968 release in it’s entirety. Soon after, adding their own soul-drenched originals as well as noted tracks by Dizzy Gillespie and Chano Pozo, New Love Soul Revue, Mersey and Dawn, et al.
THE M-TET recorded and mixed “HOT “BUTTERED RUM” in their comfy, lo-fi studio. One room, no headphones. Recorded live with minimal mics to 4-track tape. |
