Both of the songs found here were released digitally by Tony in 2021 in a loosey goosey fashion, "while the music industry figures itself out" - he wrote.
Stepping away from the broader band format, Tony recorded and mixed everything himself on these two songs, and the result feels very intimate and warm. Unconsciously or not, the added retro sound aesthetic of the two songs are instantly charming and the warm tones are transporting us back a little - think Bill Withers goes George Franklin Smallwood. The way he poured Soul into the Pop makes these two outstanding songs a perfect fit for a 45 drop.
