We here at New Los Angeles have a special place in our hearts for the deep troves of Latin American psychedelic rock, and the first time we heard these guys, we thought we were hearing some late 60’s bluespsyche rarity that had somehow snuck by undetected. Come to find out these heavy sounds we were hearing were actually the product of three young guys from modern day Santiago, Chile.
We have now been working with Diego, Felipe, and Gonzalo – better known as La Rabla – for some time in preparation of this, their debut album. They have been banging it out, show after show, building their following before we unleash them onto Los Angeles, and the world, this month. La Rabla reminds us of everything we love about the historical lineage of South American psyche, and that the pure magic of musical discovery is still alive and thriving in 2017.
