LeaLea Jones has created her own eye-catching, edgy Rock 'n' Roll style that is both alluring and commanding. Already getting rave reviews for her explosive live show, LeaLea Jones has been selected as an "Artist to Watch" by BBC Introducing and has already written songs for artists at RCA, DefJam, BBE Records and Tru Thoughts. She has already performed on line-ups that have included Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Roots Manuva and Little Dragon and been compared to the likes of Missy Elliot, MIA and Kelis.
This single is the result of her collaboration with producer/drummer Jack Baker (Bonobo/Alice Russell) whom she met through award-winning singer Andreya Triana. These two tracks are the first products of a full length album that they are working on. Side A is the reggae influenced 'The Road' featuring vocals from the legendary Horace Andy (Massive Attack) whilst on the flip is the fiery 'AK-47' with conscious lyrics layered over a stuttering hook-laden beat.
