Eric Coleman from Mochilla has a disco crate! Honestly, this was the last thing i expected from the makers of Brasilintime and the recent Madlib x Mamao project Jackson Conti, but the unexpected is always welcome. This is Coleman's Dirty Disco mix, and the dude knows his recs. He starts off with underground disco classics, lining each one up to intensify the groove until he throws in the heralded Detroit hit, Number Of Names' "Sharevari!" That's when it starts getting real dirty! You'll also hear Latin grooves, ill house cuts, rare disco, early Bmore, and other music made for dancing your ass off. Can definitely hear some live mix parts, so you know he's putting in work. Super recommended for disco and non disco lovers. This has all my favorites and then some. Here are some that I can name off the top, but for reals the obscure cuts on here are what you're really buying this for:
Candido - "Thousand Fingered Man"
GQ - "Disco nights"
George kranz - "Din Daa Daa"
Number Of Names - "Sharevari"
Chic - "Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)"
Peter Brown - "Do You Wanna Get Funky"
Chubb Rock - "Treat 'Em Right"
Pepe Bradock - "Soho Hot Music" |
