“Sweet Soul EP” is another split 7” record by Spinnerty and Dem Suite set to be released July 1st, 2008 on Trazmick Recordings.
The title of “Sweet Soul” says it all. Crunchy guitar and dusty drums set the framework as Elliott’s lead vocals carry this soulful tune. Its an old school soul number harkening back to that late 60s sound.
Flip to “Seasong” for an up-tempo oceanic tune that pays homage to the Northern California coastline, with waves of pedal steel guitar washing in and out underneath smooth thumping 909/303 patterns. |
