Joe Cuba's "X-rated" (& uncensored) album. At the time of its release, the track "Pud-da-din" was taken off the album in some parts of the world because of its explicit message; "I pud-da-din…" sing it a few times and you'll know what it means. The album has lots of fantastic jazzy playing, including the storming "Joe Cuba's Madness" (Part 1 & 2) –a real wild jam session. This is an important album as it traces Joe's transition from Boogaloo to a more personal style. It also has a great "live in the studio" kind of production, with a soulful spirit and a tight sound throughout! A classic groover, that was not that easy to find until now! |
