Strap on your shell toes, grab a burger and a 40 oz. and nod your head to "Time To Throw Down," an obscure boogie record by Washington D.C.'s J.P.'s Force.
This track had a limited regional release in the mid-late 1980's but didn't get much further than the Potomac. The "J.P." stands for Joe Phillips, one of the founding members of the The Winstons who you may know for the landmark breakbeat/rare groove anthem "Amen, Brother."
Yes, this is the same dude that inadvertently created Jungle. Small world. |
