REPARATA & THE DELRONS were originally a 5-piece harmony group from New York. They formed while still at High School in1962 as 'The Delrons' and were fronted by lead singer Mary Aiese. Mary later added her Catholic Confirmation name "Reparata" and, as a trio' they signed to the Pittsburgh label World Artists and hit with their first two 45s "Whenever A Teenager Cries" and "Tommy". The group went through several changes before signing to RCA in '65 with their best known line-up… Mary Aiese, Nanette Licari and Lorraine Mazzola. After several lean years the girls signed to Mala and scored a UK pop hit with "Captain Of Your Ship" earning them a UK-tour and an appearance on Top Of The Pops. Their follow-up "Saturday Night Didn't Happen" failed to chart but it's B-side, "Panic", secured them a place in the Northern Soul Hall of Fame!
