Two extremely heavy James Brown tracks here, from two popular US house DJ's, who pay tribute to the Godfather in fine style, first up we have "Jimmy Go Boom", that samples JB's "I Feel Alright", the highlight from his Live At The Apollo Vol 2 album on Polydor 1967. The track gets remixed in fine style keeping JB's irresistible groove thats made it a hit with DJ's such as Kenny Dope, Louie Vega, Craig Loftis and Dennis Ferrer to name a few, you know its gonna work on any dancefloor. The flip sees ‘Stomp’ with the JB's block party favourite "Give It Up Or Turn It Loose" make an appearance with the sample of ‘Clap Ya Hands, Stomp Ya Feet’, this is used with a cheeky sample from Martin Circus "Disco Circus" and a bassline from Cymande turning it into a sure fire party winner. |
