Seamingly outta nowhere comes this fresh twelve by Niamaj - the label is called Plug, meaning Promoting Love Under Ground! nice metaphor, nice groove, nice rhymes - called the vibe (yah). got it? yes, tribe called quest is the first reminiscence, not only coz of the name droping - it's the funky relaxed vibe they inherited from 'em. second reminscence is digable planets, track is called yogatta, sampling this vocal part from digable planets "you gotta do what you want, do what you feel..." - you gotta like it if you still feel like hiphop wasn't any better than in the early nineties and you might like it anyway. |
