Aimes brings everything good to this release from sun-kissed synths to chimes lapping around your dancing feet, the most delicious and enticing sort of post-disco can be found on “Pleasure Cruise.” Take a permanent vacation to an aural paradise as you set sail on lathered waves of boogie and crests of love. We have a feeling Larry would be debuting this one at Paradise Garage if he had the chance. As far as the flip side, if the theme to the film “Midnight Express” is the glass half-empty, “Acid Dreaming” is the glass half-full, playing like an electro-futurist vision of the journey beyond consciousness to realms unknown.
