  A Certain Way
I Don’t Wanna Get Used To It (Diamond Ortiz Remix)
Latest release from MoFunk Records, label started by well known funk/g-funk producer XL Middleton, and Eddy Funkster, resident DJ at Funkmosphere alongside Dam Funk. A release in the “”modern funk”” genre, a growing scene propelled by releases such as the Dam Funk/Snoop Dogg album “”7 Days Of Funk,”” etc.”

“A Certain Way” is the kind of tune that rings with the sincerity (and synths) of a danceable love song from the 80’s, but with a new, futuristic feel that can only be described as one thing - modern funk. The b-side, the Diamond Ortiz remix of “I Don’t Wanna Used To It,” pairs Moniquea’s original vocal with a hard-hitting track that takes cues from the Ohio funk sound pioneered by Roger Troutman.
