The last 12 months have been a great success for TMSV - he has shown great versatility via his output for the Box Clever label, gigged tirelessly across mainland Europe, and garnered wide support for his version of Mavado's track 'Dem A Talk' - the latter attracting attention from dubstep figurehead Mala, resulting in his inclusion on a remix compilation of Greensleeves classics alongside Mala, Coki, V.I.V.E.K and more.
To cement his position as a key member of the Box Clever family, the tenth release sees TMSV drop two of his most indemand dubs. 'Myth' was exclusive to DJ Youngsta through much of 2011, used as an opener to many of his live sets and Rinse FM
shows - its shamanic flute lines and complex percussion refrains drifting cloud-like across the foundation of tough stepping drums and solid bass layers.
'Flow' flips the vibe to the more introspective, dubbed side of TMSV's production - hypnotic hi-hats and bongoes skittering across the sparse mix of dissolving piano echoes, minimal kick/snare hits and thick sub pressure. |
