The first teaser single from third album. LCP is back with their classic tributes to one of Hip-Hop's most seminal groups. "A Tribute to De La" features a guest appearance from reknowned trumpet player, Pharez Whitted. Pharez is regarded as one of the most highly talented jazz trumpet players of our time, having played alongside musicians such as Wynton & Branford Marsalis, George Duke, and Ramsey Lewis. He is currently the director of Jazz Studies at Chicago State University. The bonus song is from LCP 3.5 and is called "Stakes Still High" featuring Columbus emcees, LxEfortheUncool and P Blackk. It is a tribute to the mood of Stakes is High by De La Soul and reveals that not much has changed since its 1995 release. |
