Welcome to the Frank Nitt and Sepalot revival! The Detroit MC (Frank'N'Dank, Dilla) and the Munich producer (Blumentopf) are Fracture. A new group with a new sound and a new agenda. Nitt and Sepalot first hooked up on Sepalot's solo-album "Red Handed" (Compost Records). They went on tour together, became friends and kept on recording - with no rules, no regulations and no parking on the dancefloor. "Outrageous" is a 5 track EP that fuses Detroit rap, Munich disco and Miami bass like no record before.
Sepalot:
No matter whether he spins Hip Hop or Electro, Sepalot has been known to send his audiences on an oral trip far beyond - no jetlag guaranteed. Hip Hop with a sprinkle of electro or maybe electro with the soul of a hiphop DJ. With tours from Johannesburg to Sydney and from Moscow to
the far ends of Bolivia, his sound feels at home worldwide. As a Band member and producer of the Group Blumentopf he released 2 Top Ten albums and 2 Top Twenty albums and sold over 300 000 units. The numerous amount of sold out tours, took them to places like Beirut, Aman, Cairo, Alexandria and only stress the fact that. that Sepalot's skills
go way further than the skills of a beatmaker. Besides various remixes and projects like Soundtracks, releases in Germany, Lebanon, Austria, Switzerland and Holland, he released his first soloalbum "Red Handed" on Compost Records in 2008. With international features like Saigon, Frank n Dank, Blu, Ladi6, Miss Platnum, Christian Prommer and Zed Bias.
Frank Nitt:
Frank Nitt is one of Detroit's most influential and popular MCs. As part of the duo Frank'n Dank and as long-time friend and collaborator of the great late J-Dilla. Dilla produced the notorious Frank'n Dank album for MCA and Frank Nitt appeared on groundbreaking Dilla albums like "Welcome 2 Detroit" on BBE and "Champion Sound" on Stones Throw. Frank Nitt has released on labels like MCA, EMI, Delicious Vinyl, ABB, Fat Beats, Compost and Rapster. Due to his extensive touring schedule he has a strong international fan-base in Europe and Japan too. |
