  A Free Soul - Simon S Remix
  Situations
American instrumental pop saxophonist, composer, song writer and arranger John Klemmer was born in Chicago, Illinois. The original of this track is from his 1969 "Blowin Gold" LP and is a classic amongst the Jazz fraternity as well as being heavily sampled in 90's hip hop by people like Pete Rock, Rob Swift and Kurious. This homage by Simon S uses sections of the original sax melody over a rolling funky fat Hip Hop beat combined with male (Cannonball Adderley) and female spoken word to great effect. This really is a wonderful horn loop !

On the flip a hard to find and sought after slice of real rap from Bostons Ed O.G. who approaches the mike with a purpose. Taken from "The Truth Hurts" LP, this track also features Pete Rock on vocals and this remix is exclusive to this 7 inch!

Using a beautiful flute loop from David Axelrod this one really does hit the spot.
