The Jive Turkeys' debut release is a funky 45 for Colemine Records. In the vein of groups like The Meters before them, the Jive Turkeys have put down some old-school, straight-ahead funk! No fat to trim here.
The Jive Turkeys are made up of Matt Amburgy on organ, Terry Cole on bass, Andrew DeRoberts on guitar, and Rob Houk on drums. They are an outgrowth of hip hop / funk group Soundscape based out of Oxford, OH and currently hard at work putting together their first full length release for Colemine. |
