Blaqstarr recently featured in Vibe, Rolling Stone, Spin, XLR8R, Dazed, etc. "Shake It To The Ground" video past 500K views on youtube. Following the massive success of "Shake It To The Ground" with female MC Rye Rye (see youtube view count, Rye Rye on tour with M.I.A.) and the Superstarr EP, we have this rough mix cd to get you ready for the next couple months of Blaqstarr blowing up.
The King Of Roq features over 30 tracks of Blaqstarr's unreleased music, past hits and upcoming club bangers (all tracks previously released tracks appear as remixes).
You need this CD to get a true feel for Blaqstarr's production genius similar to his live show, he mixes all his own tracks, sometimes quickly switching between beats and adding his own vocals on the top. It's hard to really "get" Blaqstarr off a couple tracks, so with this CD you get the full picture of sweet melodies, scary hard bmore production tempered with more mellow stuff, singing (hooks for days) and a little rapping.
Blaqstarr is not “baltimore club in a can” though - these are sophisticated productions that deserve their own classification. Get with it. |
