The DJ Premier produced record “Ya Dayz R #’D” is the appetizer before the main course, as their highly anticipated debut album entitled “Welcome To G-Dom” will be available from Traffic in Early October. This release may seem like an EP because it features three bangers: The title cut, “N.B.H. (Nigga, Ho, Bitch)” (also produced by Premo), and as an added bonus “What Kinda Life”, produced by New York’s up-and-comer Emile, who has done work for Cormega, MOP, Styles P, AZ, among others. All three tracks feature great street level lyrics that NYG’z fans have grown to expect. “Ya Dayz R #D” follows in the footsteps of classic DJ Premier production; hot sample, crisp drums and Premo’s signature scratches on the hook.
The flip side track “N.B.H”, featuring Blaq Poet of Screwball fame, is a response the all the negative attention Hip Hop lyrics have received from critics and naysayers, as well as the controversy created by Don Imus’s comments in the spring of 2007. As Panchi so aptly puts it...”Come on y’all, new shoulders to ride on" |
