a beautiful new release from the Ish label - they carry on where they left the field with their stunning EP "crossing the potomac", taking it a step further into exploring the fields of modern instrumental Hip Hop music. surpassing beats with as much varied textures as it is possible to still come over like one hell of a coherent record. you got smooth and salty tunes like "in groups to the hydrandd", "retrograde changes" or "young punk", cheerfull bouncers like "koreander" or "strudel chop", freakish stuff like "kabalaba", dark headnodders like "in da net", beautiful melodies, raw- and crispy-ness and this extra touch of class that you won't usually find on a compilation like this. a great artwork and a quality pressing round up this release.
