Guess i really have to take it back: tellin you mos abandoned the last century by leavin' his soul back and inheriting what maybe Jimi Hendrix left, was wrong. He did far more than that. He inherited Rock (though not an hippiesk trip like common), bumrushes and still got the voice that's that unique expression of a naive modern soul - "modern marvel" with its length of 9 minutes is the definite hiphop version of marvin gaye's "what's going on" embracing a true and profound expression of modern day's characteristics.
Some might disfavor its crossover appeal and diversity of music involved, i just call it "modern blues from the gutter", nip on my whisky and nod my head gently throughout the night. By far one of the best releases of this year, Mos Definitely!
