after five hundred or so cassettes sold at various trainstations and bus stops in Chicago, Thig's wild styles are put in wax. some hybrid aesthetic of Sun Ra and Daniel Johnston this record, lke his cassettes comes wrapped in assorted scraps of paper from Kinko's. all held together with scotch tape and scrawled all over with markers and thig's phone number. if you where ever dissapointed when you bought one of his cassettes (though they are kinda hard to find over here) to just hear a bunch of burping while free styling over the car radio or whatevers playing in the background at tower. you should really give him another shot. this lp got bits of the dictaphone recordings for sure but the dude steps into the studio as well. he's as insane as Ol' Dirty but hast the abstract flow of Del or Oddateee - heavy! this is wild style per definitionem, from the streets and for the streets (he lives in a hotel room (30 bucks a day) that the money he gotta make! - peep the photo), that's how it is - if you think you know independent hiphop, then we have to ask you, have you heard Thigahmahjiggee?
