Recording "the Harlem Pop Trotters" album proved to be one of life richest experiences for both François Rolland (Musical Concept) et JC Pierric(A&R Director), who shared a mutual passion for a whole new generation of musicians. At that time , at the end of seventies , Jazz was vacillating between various different styles . The excesses of free jazz drove many jazzmen of high calibre to seek out new forms of expression.Jazz Rock would emerge from this situation amidst all the madness of the age of synthesized music, which has still not been fully assimilated, even today.
