As "Beatronaut", the Berne-based Beatmaker Meisterbeatz takes us through his musical universe (or: "Humanverse"). On board are artists from no less than three continents of our blue planet. The sound is direct but expansive. Inspired by the golden hip-hop era of the 90s, world and soundscapes from science fiction movies. The lyrics are deep, honest and conscious.

Jean Grae from New York City and Burni Aman from Cape Town skillfully present their spiritual superpowers in the intellectual battletrack "Masters Of The Humanverse". The music timelessly combines a classic boombap style with modernity. The melody carries you on an icy wind to the next galaxy. Jean Grae is still one of the strongest women in US rap, as can be heard on songs with The Roots, Busta Rhymes or Quelle Chris. Burni Aman received a Lifetime Achievement Award for her socially critical lyrics with her former female hip-hop trio Godessa. Besides South Africa and Switzerland, she was already on stages in the USA, Cuba and France.

J Dilla's ex-protege Guilty Simpson puts his hard Detroit mark onto the armed to the teeth battleship "Fam Only" and makes it clear that one has to earn respect first. No one else could handle this untamed beat as well as he did. Those hard drums nearly slay you. The "slow staccato" melody never gets boring despite it's ongoing repetition. Guilty Simpson's discography includes works with Apollo Brown, Madlib or Black Milk. Besides Eminem, D12 or Slum Village, he is considered to be one of the "corner stones" of Detroit's rap scene.

On "Wrong Groove," London-based Ty - who collaborated with the likes of De La Soul and afrobeat inventor Tony Allen - explains how he fought his way and found his pride. The beat is fresh and got this limping "Wrong Groove" feeling. A motivational song par excellence, jazzy-playful and with a good dose of humor - which, by the way, you can always enjoy at Ty's performances. Ty is known for his lyrical openness and honest portraits of everyday life.

In "Watch And Fall", the Zurich singer Daniela Sarda is talking of a lost love, whose attractions she still cannot completely escape. The song flies weightlessly through space and can only sometimes be distracted by some nearby planets. On the journey you can also watch new stars emerge. Daniela has already achieved considerable international success with her synth pop duo TRUE with Rico Baumann from Berne and won a Swiss Life Talent Award in 2016.

Meisterbeatz loves cultural exchange and encourages it with his passion for beats and raps, which has been on going since the early nineties. His resume includes international artists such as Freestyle (ex-Arsonists, NYC), Vindahl feat. Coco (Denmark), Godessa, Crosby aka Digi Analog (Cape Town) and projects with Swiss rap and soul greats such as Seven, Baze, Black Tiger and Wurzel 5. With his debut EP "Beatronaut", Meisterbeatz now presents the next stage of his creative development.
