The three tracks travel in many different directions. Speaking directly to all the dreamers, the result is a surprising cross-over in which synthesized European music gets injected by imaginary tropical visions.
The record is opening with the inner mind percussive ambient « Chekema », an animistic incantation that will please all those who see parties as modern ritual gatherings.
The jazzy wave of « Get Enough » cracks open the B-side. It’s a foggy street jam in which the cold CR-68 rhythm balances perfectly with the warm organ chords of the Crumar.
Closing things off is the spectral reggae song “Love So High”, a desperate cry from a polar explorer stranded on an iceberg drifting towards the Carribean. Heartbreaking. |
