Fitz Ambro$e (CA) is a Tokyo based producer originally hailing from Cape Breton Island in remote eastern Canada. A beat maker with deep roots in 80’s soul/funk & 90’s hip-hop/rnb ,Fitz creates stripped-down hip-hop filled with various intricacies, hi-score hits and laser beam sheen.
About Ohbliv
Hailing from Richmond, VA. Son of Sheila and Earl. Soon after inheriting (AKA “jacking”) his father’s vast record collection, Ohbliv (AKA Brad O) abandoned his ‘classical’ background (playing trumpet in band) and began to study the masters on his own time.
It was during these formative years that he developed a love for funk, hip hop, and jazz and an ear for beats, soon realizing that many of his favorite jams were often sampled from some his favorite childhood records. Blessed with perfect pitch he soon began picking up instruments and singing. It wasn’t until he woke up from sleeping in music theory class in college, that he realized it was time to make the dream real.
He creates organic, soulful, and off-kilter jams with an improvisational spirit and raw interpretations from his mind and soul.
The swaggering, popping grooves gel each minimal production together to form tracks busting with trademarked flavor and culture. Throughout his career connecting with a diverse range of collaborators and supporters including Tokyo’s Cosmopolyphonic crew. Fitz has crafted a uniquely modern sound with a deep individual vision. |
