another marvellous 7 inch from the Bully catalogue, coming as sort of the preview for the whole album (on CD only), this is just as impressive as his first 7 inch and a must have as well. "Jaywalking" pilots through a ruff day with a melancholic prevailling mood. "Call From the Planet" picks up a reggae flavoured phat rolling bassline, adds some vocals and keeps your head nodding due to crunchy hard-hitting drums. But oustanding really is "Rainy Day Picnic": beautiful late sixties sample from those moody easy listening / soundtrack recordings that were carried by lots of strings, vibraphone, soft jazzy guitars a.s.o., ingeniously packed in the right amount of crackling drums.
pulled from the market from the label because of a mysterious pressing damage (that i haven't been able to hear yet) - so only one chance to get this, no restocks!
