On their premiere full-length LP Enjoy The Ride, SOCIAL LOVERS take you on a musical journey with their unique, feel- good sound. The first track ‘Baby Tonight’ moves your body and takes you straight to the dancefloor of an underground basement party in Brooklyn. Next, you’re cruising with the top down through the streets of Phoenix to harmonious keys & mellow synths of the title track ‘Enjoy The Ride.’ You’re then brought to the serene beaches of Los Angeles with the sexy instrumental ‘Lovers’ Theme,’ all while making a pitstop to watch a romantic Brazilian sunset with ‘Love’s True,’ a beautiful bossa nova ballad. SOCIAL LOVERS’ lush and polished production is nicely complimented with the sultry vocals of Megan Doherty, intriguing fans of Metro Area & Cat Power. Their smooth, modern funk & disco sound have become a favorite amongst DJs, keeping the dancefloors heavy, and lovers close ‘til the break of dawn.

With influences from the different cities of LA, San Francisco, and Phoenix, the Social Lovers- Matty P (producer), Megan Doherty (vocals), Chris Letson (drums), Ryan Doherty (producer) & Joe Nunez (guitar) are taking over the West Coast with their unique, dance floor friendly sound. After meeting in high school back in 2005 where they were heavily influenced by the sounds of bossa nova, disco, funk, and soft rock, they geared up towards the land of sea & sunshine, Los Angeles, and created their signature sound of ‘street funk with a splash of class.’ Previously releasing a limited edition cassette & 7” on Cherries, they are currently working on new material and plan to tour the U.S. coasts in Summer 2015.
