Sam ‘Floating Points‘ Shepherd has unveiled ‘King Bromeliad’ from a forthcoming 12" on Eglo Records, the label he runs with Alex Nut. The eight-minute-plus track (nearly as epic as last year’s 11-minute ‘Wires’ )opens with party chatter and a muffled beat in the background, before dropping into an jazzy, eyes-down shuffle embellished with vibraphone squiggles of syrupy synths and vibraphone. ‘King Bromeliad’ will be joined by ‘Montparnasse’ on the 12", due out soon on Eglo. |
